That prompted me to try some of the polishes I already own, before I order some more...
This particular polish I used once or twice for stamping, but never with a magnet. Sally Hansen - Kinetic Copper came with small wavy patterned magnet, but I found it too small, and not that strong. I used it on another polish few months ago - it would just work on the middle of the nail, leaving edges untouched and unchanged and I found that unappealing.
I decided to dig into hubby's tool box, knowing that he collect all kinds of weird things, and I unearthed nice magnet, which I used in this manicure. Let's just say - this magnet is not going back into black hole called his tool box/cabinet/shop.
I wish I used black base, so this effect would be even more pronounced, but I like it like this too.
First I painted all of my nails one coat of Kinetic Copper, and when that dried, I applied second coat, and right away I held magnet near nail for about 5 seconds. Polish contain particles that are sensitive to magnet, and 'travel' towards it, creating neat result.
Cat eye effect appeared like a magic! Most amazing - and personally entertaining is fact that lightest part seem to be fluid, looks like it moves as you move your hand.
I just did stamping with basket weave pattern using MdU - Black and Dana 3 stamping plate.
On my ring finger I stamped with MdU - Papyrus and MoYou London - Cook Book 3 stamping plate.
