I have to admit, I did not last full two weeks - not because there was a fault with this polish, but because I could not wait to try second gel polish Madam Glam sent me for a review. I am wearing it right now, and I can not stop looking at my nails...
Back to Baby Pink.
I love French tip manicures, and I had to do one, even though my base is just touch too opaque. I have to admit, I liked this look much better than one shown to you yesterday.
I did not paint tips, but stamped them - of course!
For stamping I used MoYou Nails - stamping White, and DRK Themes - Enlaced stamping plate. I found perfect lacey design that could be used as a French tip design. Here, clear jelly stamper was essential for a placement, even though I could erase if I made mistake. There was no need for any correction.
After wearing this couple of days, I had to add more - there was office Christmas party I needed to go to, and I loved this too much to take off, so I compromised, and just jazzed it up.
What I did here is - painting black ribbon and bow, and adding single piece of loose silver glitter. This just elevated this to more festive look. I was not quite sure what would I wear, so I figured - black and white combo is such an classic, it will go well with any color I would wear. Of course, bow can be painted in any color you want. I just used acrylic black paint and small brush.
There was no issue with removal either.
I gently filed tops of my nails to remove some of the shiny shell, wrapped my nails in cotton soaked in nail polish remover, and I have clips that hold cotton in place, to allow nail polish remover to work through the layers of the gel. You can also wrap tips and cotoon in aluminum foil - it will do same job.
I let them soak for little bit under 10 minutes, and 98% of the polish lifted off of my nail. Rest was easily pushed of with orange wood stick. There was no damage to my nails, and I am pretty sure that my nails were slightly less discolored then before I used this gel. That property only would make me use it over and over again.
I am smitten with quality of this polish. I did put gel on few times before, and I was never able to wrap my tips, so they always looked like there was some wear on them. Again, I had no issue here, It is hard to see that on this light color, but difference is clearly visible with darker one.
All in all, I am so happy that I had opportunity to try this product.
As with previous post, I made a collage of how this manicure evolved. I hope you liked it as much as I did.
Thank you for stopping by.
