First One step soak off gel polish I reviewed is named Baby Pink. Contrary to its name, this is not your everyday sugary baby pink- it is more grown up, lady like pink that would agree with most skin tones.
My gel polish experience is pretty limited, but this one is by far the best soak off gel polish I tried.
Consistency wise, I would say it is medium (I do own some that are thicker and ones that are runny). I found this consistency easy to work with, as it does not streak like thicker one did for me, and does not flood your sides as runnier did for me. This one also self level nicely, so one coat for a French tip will look fantastic. I did four thin coats here.
This is base, color and top coat - all in one, so that is another bonus with Madam Glam one step soak off gel polish. That means that is super easy to use, and one bottle does it all. I have LED lamp, and curing time is 30-60 seconds per coat. With this one, I did full 60 seconds, and will do 30 seconds with second polish I will review.
I did wear this plain one day to work, and my co-workers were shocked!
First stamping I did was bit of the fail... after I stamp over the gel, I add coat of regular top coat to seal it, and that did not go well... my top coat smeared my stamping, and I had to remove it really quickly. Thing is, I would not even took the photo if there was not a sun shining for a whole minute, so I run out to snap photo or two. I am always curious how much lighting will change appearance of the color.
Another reason is to show you how different color combinations and design can completely change the look and tone of your manicure.
I was doing wear test for this review, so I was not very kind to it. Usually, I would use non acetone nail polish remover to remove stamping off of the gel, but I hate the smell of mine, so I just used regular one. There was not a mark on the finish of this gel! How great is that!
I proceeded with another look. I did half moons manicure which I stamped with DRK - Copper, and Cheeky jumbo plate D. I own this plate for a several years, and I always thought this is image of the leaf...
I stamped same image, only this time, I started at the cuticle. Image was stamped with Esmaltes da Kelly - Fiasca. After I stamped second layer, I realised that this was not an image of the leaf, but one of the feather! Who knew.
Again, I liked how this dark olive green 'tamed' fiery copper, but looked awesome with pink base. That just shows you how versatile Baby Pink is.
This wraps up the first week of the wear. I loved all the looks I created using Madam Glam - Baby Pink as a base. I made a collage for this review, and you can see how different every layer looked, and how much it changed feel of my original manicure.
