Whole thing was inspired by Lourry Legarde painting.
I tried my bestest, but sometimes, even the best laid plans...
Anyhow, Wendy done this as pond manicure, and I probably would not think to do it myself, even though make sense to do it this way to achieve depth of the field.
I love Wendy for her originality, sense of humor and willingness to unselfishly help others. Add generosity to this mix, and you got her. That is the reason I jumped to opportunity to do something with her.
We both recreated one of hers previous manicures, and considering that I love purple, my choice for recreation was no brainer.
I did not have the proper sheer polish for this pond manicure, so I just franken my own. I first made sheer black by mixing clear top coat with little bit of black polish, in which I added some sheer white polish until I reached light grey. Well, it all worked in theory - my grey kind of made my purple disappear, no matter how intense or dark color I picked. After 2 layers, I switched to white sheer polish, diluted with little bit of clear top coat.
Everything is done using nail polishes (2 green, 3 purple and 2 pink), dotting tool (on the bottom layers) and fine brush.
Finishing touch was Revlon - Matte top coat.
On the bottom of the page I included photo collage Wendy made for us to post on Instagram. Collage includes inspirational painting, original post, and both recreations.
All left to say here is: Happy Anniversary Wendy!
Take care and stay safe.
