Same was with the coast of Adriatic, where I spent most of my summer vacations, but to all of this prettiness we should add chirping of cicadas, and mix of sea, pine and lavender in the air... hmmmm that is real paradise for me.
Even though I tried to paint pretty mental image of seaside sunset, one that I painted on my nails I imagined like lakeside sunset. Just imagine this: your campground is just a slightly higher than a lake, you have your campfire going, you and your family sitting around, looking at the setting sun, and roasting marshmallows for S'Mores. There is quiet around you, and only sounds you hear are crackle of the fire, faint sound of waves and occasional insect... it is almost like nature is holding its breath, so it can hear hiss of the sun when finally gets swallowed by water.
You can barely see the surface of the lake as sun is slowly loosing its strength, and darkness is slowly moving into your peripheral vision. That moment when you can't decide if it was nicer to watch serene sunset, or start to count first stars that are starting to populate rapidly darkening sky... That is what I tried to paint on my nails for today...
For gradient I used Color Club - Macaroon Swoon (pale yellow), L'Oréal - Orange you jealous? Revlon - Impulsive and purple glitter is Klean Color - Sparkle Purple.
Everything else is painted freehand with acrylics. I went with stereotype and outlined few birds... I always wandered where all of those birds are flying off to?
