I found this black textured polish by Maybelline - Corrupted Black in a clearance bin few months ago, and I picked it up, because I could not pass a great deal! I might have slight problem with walking away from the good sale... In my defense, when I purchased it, I thought that I was buying regular black polish, because you can never have too many of the black or white polishes around. They are great base for a nail art, so why not... little did I know that this will not be smooth, shiny finish I was going for...
Ah, well! May as well use it if you already have it is great motto, even if I just made it up to make myself feel better. ;)
I actually liked this one. This is one coat only, and I love one coat polishes - no need to wait in between layers... Corrupted Black have just right amount of grains in to make perfect textured surface.
And what do I love to do over texture? well, stamp - of course!
True to myself, I stamped over Corrupted Black with Esmaltes da Kelly - Kaa. Kaa is bright yellow neon polish I ordered from DRK Nails . First one arrived in broken bottle, but it was replaced - thanks heavens for a great customer service, and is without any match in brightness in my stamping polish collection. It is definitively brightest stamping polish I own. Just look how opaque, and still pretty bright is over black! Image is picked up clearly and transferred flawlessly. Loving this combo very much.
Image is from UR Beautiful-17, and as all of the other stamping plates in a series is etched perfectly. This is definitively set you should consider getting. Images are nice size, but they do not get lost on a smaller nail. I also love that there is always few smaller single images or phrases on every plate, so you can mix and match to your heart content.
This is all from me. As always, thank you for stopping by.
Cheers!
