Base for this manicure is Illamasqua - Rage, one of my new, untried polishes I could not pass, because everybody needs more than one kind of this highlighter bright yellow (I may or may not have few at home already). This is easy two coats over white OPI - Put the coat on. I almost left it on one coat, but I could not stand possibility of uneven base.
Everything was done freehand, first with black acrylic, then I remembered that I have black striping polish, and I 'fixed' some of the lines that got quite 'hairy' with acrylics. My brushes are not the best, and even I keep on buying new ones, I can't seem to make them work. I am starting to suspect that my brushes may not be the only problem, and that I have to take operator into consideration too. ;)
I've done same design on both hands, and I even wore this to work on Friday - it was noted and complimented by quite a few patients, like you could miss it. This was visible from outer space!
I can't take credit for design, it was just copied, and I think I would do it differently, but I did what I did. I did change the thumb (least noticeable place), and ring finger. Original have square yellow and green studs, that I did not have at hand. I improvised by painting the squares - it is not the best, but the best I could came up with. As an afterthought was that I could of use some striping tape to make my lines straight, but that was day after the fact... day too late.
I hope you'll like it too, as much as I enjoy wearing it. In the way, it is a good thing black was covering some of the yellow, or I would be ready to control the traffic!
For the end, I wish all of you good week, and to Lisa, Happy Birthday!
