This is something I wanted to do on my nails for a few years now, but I never found stamping image like this. There was not other way, than to try to paint it myself...
There are few things there that could use improvement, but for the first time try, I am pretty happy about results. I just tried to portray what I mean when I say that fall is such an abundant season...
Even though my canvas is super small, and I had to limit all the fruit and vegetables there, this is how it was always in my home while I was growing up. There would be bags of fruit and vegetables that needed canning, and most of the time, that would be an family affair... my mom would rope us all in the kitchen, and everyone would get knife and cutting board, and here we go, cutting up that cabbage mountain until all is in the barrel, ready for Winter... ripe tomatoes cooked into juice... peppers into picked peppers, making vegetable spread (we call it Ajvar), and making different juices for consumption in the cold weather... and I did not even started with jams and preserves...
We been busy as a bees. These days, it is so much easier and sometimes even cheaper to purchase what you want... But not all. We still make our own tomato juice from tomatoes grown in out tiny box garden in my backyard. My hubby was busy putting everything in the jars, because we can eat just so much at the time, and it would be sin to throw it away...
My neighbours received some beautiful plums from my tiny plum tree...
To do this on my nails, I painted them first with OPI - My vampire is buff, and then just continued with acrylic paints. When done, I just put some top coat. On the first couple of photos, there is glossy top coat, and then I added some matte top coat, because it is easier to photograph.
My favourite is corn, but you are free to pick your favourites... and yes, quince is from my tiny tree in a backyard. Branch broke, so hubby brought them in... I love how they infused my home with their wonderful aroma.
I will go now, to enjoy rest of my day...
All the best to you all...
