I was shaken enough that I could not post yesterday.
There was some rain falling down yesterday, and I hope beyond the hope that this would be enough to slow this monster down again...
Today, I have a manicure that is much happier in color and in occasion. I did it for another IG collab to celebrate birthday. Happy birthday Silvie!
I started with super pretty polish by China Glaze - Beach Cruise-r.
On the swatch above, I am wearing 3 thin coats and top coat.
I was kind of playing around with those.
First, I painted a random stripes using a coral pink, but you can barely see it, as my base took over the show.
Daisies are such an simple and often overlooked flower, yet there is something ethereal in their simplicity. Many designers explored the potential of homey daisies in their designs, even the great Marc Jacobs made them immortal in his signature perfume "Daisy" one of my top three perfumes of all times...
I freehand mine, as I love to find a different ways to paint daisies. This time I outlined them with black, and I really loved the contrast against this intense pink.
This reminded me of something out of '70s, hence the title.
Once again, happy birthday to Silvie, and a wonderful day to all of you.
Cheers!
