Winter did not even started, and I already want more sun! Considering my lack of superpowe to change forecast at the whim, I went with painting some sunshine on my nails.
I started with Orly's - Melodious utopia - you have to love polish named like this! This is soft yellow polish with pink shimmer! I know! There was no way I would let this beauty to wait until Summer to be worn... On the other side, I needed 3 generous coats for full opacity, but it dried fairly quickly, so I can live with it.
I paired this with Bundle Monster plate BM-XL06 images. Image on my ring finger reminded me on rosette motif, gothic stonemasons often used in architecture, especially when building sacral buildings.
I added red half pearl to play with shimmer, which was really hard to capture, especially with a lack of sunshine... just saying.
On my mid finger I stamped entwined infinity rose design (I totally made this up) that also reminded me of stone carved design used for decorating above mentioned sacral buildings.
Black polish used for stamping was Sally Hansen - Black Heart. I added couple of studs on pinky and index finger, but I stayed away from gold ones, as I wanted them to pop against yellow.
All topped with 2 layers of Glisten&Glow HK-Girl top coat.
I always connected gothic designs with dark colors such as black, shades of gray, with a glimpse of deep dark red... I just wanted to see how would gothic design looked brighten up, drunk on rainbow. I can tell you this - I like it - hence title...
See you soon.
