What do you do when your nails are super short? You embrace the shorties!
This color (or something similar) was showing up in my feed, and I had to try it on me.
When I started this, plan was to add matte top coat to this polish... but as with all the best laid plans, this one fallen through like it never existed... maybe next time.
My plan fallen through as I was looking for inspiration for second polish... and I opened drawer with my Parrot Polishes... I knew I had to use one of them in this combo. My thumb, ring and pinky, got a layer of Parrot Polish - White gold. White gold is white flake topper, that on certain light angles will look gold. I really liked those two together.
Image is on Creative Shop 02 stamping plate, and this one looks like a zig-zag gradient. I will have to revisit this image once my nails grow a little bit. Unfortunately, gradient is barely visible in this manicure.
I stamped it with Maybelline - Bold Gold. Afterwards, I regretted using gold polish for stamping, as now everything looks gold plated, and my pretty base is pretty much covered up...
You know the saying; 'In for a penny, in for a pound'... I already covered my base, so plan was to blind you with some bling. Then you may not notice my shorties...
So, I added couple of textured triangle studs and one big clear rhinestone to ump this almost plane manicure.
Now, even though this may not be done in colors I like to wear, I ended up liking this simple manicure, and I wore it to work for couple of days. I think this would be appropriate for any office setting, not just my liberal one... where all sorts of nail art are tolerated.
It is good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while... as browns and taupe are not really colors I crave or wear often.
This is it from me today. I wish you all a wonderful week.
Cheers!
