Actually I did two of watermarble manicures, and this was the first one. This supposed to be a petals, but it did not exactly do what I had in mind, so I just did watermarble equivalent of scratching it when I decided to make a dip (both fingers in the same time)... this is was a fail, and I was bit annoyed with it. Thing is, when I looked in my cup, this did not look that bad, and I loved it on the nails. Random kind of marble is the best kind. You just never know what will actually happen...
Pretty Serious - Doodle bug was one of the colors used in a marble, but was kind of overshadowed with the pink... to counter all the pink, I painted rest of the nails with Doodle bug, bright blue crème that marbles like a dream.
I used few colors for a watermarble, and rest are: L'Oréal - Don't shy away (purple), Sally Hansen - Fearless Fuchsia (pink) , Ciate - Big Yellow Taxi (yellow) and Sally Hansen - Society Ruler (burgundy). There is no rhyme or reason behind those colors except that they spread in the water...
I took a couple of photos, because I decided to keep on playing with it, and needed something if I mess it up. In all honesty, I could/should stop here, but you know me... I just had to keep on going...
If you remember from the beginning of the post, this was a fail, so I could not mess it up... and I kept on playing with it. There was no real plan for it, it just developed from here.
Next step was to add some stamping, and I stamped with one of the colors I used for marbling - Society Ruler.
Image I picked is on UR Beautiful- 02 stamping plate.
On the same stamping plate - UR Beautiful- 02, I spotted an image that I thought would be cool for layering. It is not layering image per say, but I made it work.
For stamping of full single flower (petals), I used Mundo de Unas - White. Then I used Doodle bug for outlines. I tried with Society Ruler on one or two flowers, but I did not like it as much as ones outlined with Doodle bug.
It looked like I was going somewhere with this, and figured in for a penny, in for a pound...
This needed some of that yellow, so Big Yellow Taxi came to play. I added dot of it in every flower I seen on my nails...
I topped it all with Sally Hansen - Big Matte Top Coat.
Finished manicure looked like a little pond that reflected all the blooming cherry trees, and some of the flowers fell in it... did I ever told you that I have vivid imagination?
I said enough... Thank you so much for stopping by.
Cheers!
