This is Heavenly Body, and it supposed to be magnetic polish. Unfortunately, I think I got myself a defective bottle, as there were not much of magnetic particles there. That was little bit disappointing, but I still ended up with a beautiful navy polish, that is pretty on its own.
Only way to make magnetic effect visible was under strong light. That is OK for a picture taking, but I usually do not have strong light available, and would like to see this effect without it. Maybe Heavenly Body supposed to be this way, who knows. Too bad, as this would be ever prettier if effect was stronger... for what ever it works, here is swatch of it.
After I did this manicure, I came across blue magnetic polish from Essie, and will have to try it sometime soon, just to see...
I paired it with another untried polish, this one form Madam Glam - Holo Mirror, beautiful palest gold holographic polish, and I am yet to wear this one on its own. As you can tell from the photos below, it stamps like a champ, and double duty is always a bonus in my books.
This was done for #nailswithigfriends, this time hosted by my friend Iva, IG@secretjewelgarden.
This month, Iva picked animals as a topic, and I went with dragonflies. Every time I see the dragonfly, that makes me happy, and I wanted to share them with you. In some part of my brain, I always think of them as a part of some fairy world, and I have no reasonable explanation for that.
I went with three different images, all from the same stamping plate - BCN-013 that I purchased on AliExpress.com.
I think that this whole combination of colors, and polish choices looked truly magical. I may be partial to this, but I sure hope you will like this as much as I did.
Lacking the real dragonfly for a photo-op, I remembered that I own silver ring with dragonfly on it. That ring is part of set that includes earrings, necklace and bangle.
As you can tell from above photos, Holo Mirror kept its holographic properties even when stamped, and I love seeing the rainbows on the dragonfly wings. They truly look like real dragonfly wings to me.
Of course I could not resist up close and personal macro of my middle finger. I even framed it, because I think it looks like a some kind of otherworldly image here.
As always, I want to thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my work...
