Actually, I did today's manicure as a part of Beautometry nail challenge, and this week prompt is Orange Ombre...
You know how I feel about orange - not really my favourite color, even though I am trying to like it...
As for ombre - isn't that just a fancy name for a gradient? Well I sure hope it is.
I had no clue what to do with this - I knew that I did not want to do any typical fall designs, I already done some leaves, and I wanted something different.
I was flipping through my stamping plates, and came across this Messy Mansion plate, and decided that is it. This also looked like an obvious choice considering that I just finished six seasons of `Game Of Thrones`! Almost caught up with it all. So far, plot followed the book pretty good, even though they excluded few things that would made much easier to follow for the folks that did not read the book, or should I say books. I have them all and I read them before this was fashionable, and if my memory serves me well, season six series is pretty much where books ended.
Now, I am really curious where will next seasons go... I can't wait to get my hands on DVD set...
OK, back to my nails.
I did two gradients - one on my ring finger using Jessica - Sharktooth (white) and China Glaze - Sun Worshiper (medium orange).
Other nails sport gradient made of China Glaze polishes in: Daisy knows my name? (yellow), Sun Worshiper (medium orange) and Japanese Koi (neon Orange).
This second gradient actually looked pretty good if I may say myself. I ended up adding a coat of China Glaze - Golden Enchantment over the gradients, before I added the stamping.
Decided to double stamp dragon scales on all but my ring finger, where I left them in one layer. Second layer there is actual dragon image.
For stamping, I used following stamping polishes: Esmaltes da Kelly - Leo, Maybelline - Bold Gold and Hit the Bottle - As Black As Night.
All images are on Messy Mansion MM-21 stamping plate.
I surely hope that you will like my fiery dragon.
Cheers!
