Base for this is beautiful Different Dimension - Heaven from Hell. This is one of the polishes that landed in my grab bag. Shown below is two coats plus top coat.
I used palm tree and a sea image from YZW-N04 stamping plate, and I applied Born Pretty- Black over the palm trees, and Esmaltes da Kelly - Haltere over the waves. I used my Clear Jelly stamper to position the image on the nail.
To make more define the image, I brushed Essie watercolor - Pen and Inky to emphasize the blue of the ocean.
Image itself was intriguing me from the first time I received the plate. It reminds me of stylized images native Americans would use in their art, or of the tattoo. Thing is, this image was way to big for one nail, but I was afraid that would loose some of its charm if I split it over the two nails... until now.
Image itself is on MoYou London - Greek Mythology Collection 07 stamping plate, and using my recently discovered mad shrinking skills, I scaled down that image to fit my nail, even if positioning is bit strange... I included macro photo of the original and reduced image side by side.
Once again, I used Born Pretty - Black for picking up the image, which I filled in with white for more definition, but my base was overpowering it. I painted around my dolphin using Pen and Inky to define it more, but I wish I done it before I applied dolphin image on the nail. That way it would look much neater...
Well, I hope that at least some of you have a view of some palm trees or large bodies of water, or at least that you have somewhere to cool off. I also hope that you live in the area that is not filled in with smoke, so you can actually be outdoors, and not like yours truly, stuck in between the walls of my castle.
Cheers!
