No promises, as I am more of the saturated gal than I am pastel-y, washed out type...
This was done while I still had long nails... I figured Cindy will stand in while other ones nails are growing, but as of yesterday I have nubs on both hands... I do have few manicures with longer nails that I did ahead of time, so it will be mix and match in a little while...
When I started this manicure, I had in mind an oil spill... but ended up with something resembling mother of pearl. It was different than I imagined, but in the same time I did not hate the results. Actually, I might try this over the darker base - I am really curious how that would look.
I started with Ever After - Lazy Daisies. Lazy Daisies is ivory crelly packed with gold shimmer (micro glitters) and irregular glitter shards in gold and silver. There is also a dash of holographic dust for more interest. Polish dries to a glossy finish, and I needed three coats for a full opacity, no top coat on the swatch.
I am also sucker for white-gold color combinations in a nail polish. I found that really elegant, and easy to wear. Even though on my photo this still looks quite sheer, I think it was just light trick, like when you wearing light dress, and someone uses the flash, and all of the sudden, you can see the undies...
For stamping of my 'oil spill', I used Hit the Bottle holographic stamping polishes in: Amethyst Sizzle (purple), Hololulu Blue (blue) and Musk have Holo (pink), and also Maybelline - Bold Gold.
Stamping plate I used here is UR Beautiful -05, and I did random pattern with above four polishes. When scraped, you get this beautiful effect.
I painted the 'frame' around using the Bold Gold, and I also freehand gold stripe across pinky and index finger. Super cute triangular studs are from Born Pretty Store, item #35121.
You know that you can use my discount code SHGK31 for all full priced items at Born Pretty Store.
As I said at the beginning, I imagined this totally different, but I loved results of this so much, that I ended wearing this for few days at work.
As always, stay safe, and have a lovely weekend.
