That is why and what I painted on my nails.
Even thought I own couple of plates with Christmas lights, I decided to go freehand route, just because...
As a base for this manicure, I used Orly - Razzleberry.
Good thing Cindy was ever eager to volonteer for this task...
I changed around my nail work station, and now I need to get used to new lighting arrangement. Swatch is not really color accurate, but gives you great idea of the polish. Color wise- it is raspberry colored, with little glass flecks inside that look so pretty when light hits it. On the swatch I am wearing three thin coats, and no top coat. This polish photographed really red and really bright. I was wearing it against plum colored scrub top, and they been almost identical. This color is really vampy in person.
With the corner of the cosmetic sponge, I dabbed little bit of Kaleidoscope Stm 23- Aurora Borealis to look like a reflection of the light. I picked Aurora Borealis for its shifting properties - this stamping polish changes the color depending on the base color and the angle of the light. On the some angles, Aurora Borealis looks invisible, only to magically re-apear when you move your fingers. This looked like someone put the lights on.
I used black and white acrylic paint for a light bulbs and electrical cord.
I made 'sockets' by dotting silver polish between the cable and the bulb.
This was topped with Love, Angeline - Topped with love.
I loved how this looked matte, but first - side by side photo of my thumb- glossy and matte. This nail came out exactly how I pictured it in my head... In my own defence, this was done after 9 PM on a really, really long day - and I just wanted it done before I go to bed, so it was rushed ...
