Few days ago, I did manicure in which I used Santa Claus/St. Nick charm, and in my order from Winstonia store, there was 12 charms in a package. I really got a good deal on them - pack of 12 Christmas charms was less than 3$, which would came up to less than quarter per charm... And there was a candy cane charm - imagine that! That meant no struggle this year.
So... I did not choose charm-ed life, charm-ed life choose me... :D :D ;D
I miss emojis so bad here.
I used two different base for my candy cane manicure this year.
Pretty glittery green is Zoya - Stassi, and I painted my thumb, middle finger and pinky with it.
Index and ring finger got first layer of OPI - Put a coat on, and then layer of Butter London - Splash Out. I tried to give the white that silky, shiny look of candy ribbon or candy canes... To bad I was not able to capture that look on the photos... it looked really pretty in person.
On my middle finger I placed my charm, and while digging through my magic box of different nail art supplies, I realized that I have striping tape in exact shade of green as my Zoya - Stassi. I grabbed that puppy faster than you can say go!
That was the moment I decided that there is no way I can paint those stripes as neat or straight as my tape, so I ended up with super simple manicure that any of you can do without any fancy tools or plates, or some super duper skills. All you need to know is how to use scissors!
You may or may not want to use charms, but sticker or glitter or anything you can think of can give this manicure finnished look. Remember - Art and beauty is in the eye of beholder...
I am all about minimalistic look as it seems lately. Let us just hope it will pass..
Oh, yes - as you did not noticed already - Cindy volunteered to model this one.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope to see you soon.
