For al nude lovers - even though this is clearly pink colored gel polish, it felt like a nude, if that make any sense to you. It may not be the best color for my skin tone, but I enjoyed wearing it. In indirect light it is more nude, and shimmer just becomes alive when light hits it. It feels like it is glowing from within. If you look closer at the photos, you can see that nude kind of the colors on the nails that are on bigger angle than one shown directly. This is also unique color that I don't have in my regular polish collection.
At the time when I did review for chrome powder, item #30892 I was under the stress after loosing all of my photos, and I felt like I did not gave it a chance. For that reason, I included silver chrome powder to create accent nail...
For Pink gel - I built up color, and on photos shown below, I did three coats of the gel, because I do not like to see any nail growth line underneath...
I left my ring finger with provided primer on only, and just before I added top coat on my nails, I rubbed silver chrome powder over it. I did not use any color under, just a primer, and wow baby! This created perfect mirror, or chrome effect, or how ever you want to call it. Even thought on my first try of the silver powder, it showed lots of 'grain' over the red, there is seamless, shiny effect this time. Maybe I just did not rub it long enough, or hard enough, I really can't tell. All I know, I love, love, love how this looks this time. I loved it so much, that I actually rubbed some of the powder on the tip edges, to create fine line of chrome there... it never occurred to me to maybe use straight French tip guides, but I like how my tips look like I dipped them into molten metal.
I just loved how elegant this looked, that the girl that didn't wear single color in a years, went to work wearing it as you see it on the photos above. This was so pretty, I wanted to enjoy it in all simplicity for at least a day.
Of course this would not last, so the next day, I did some stamping on the top.
Now, the beauty of the gel manicure is that if you get bored with it and want to do something with it, there is not worry of ruining it with a little bit of nail polish remover. That would be issue with a regular polish.
First. I tried some color stamping, but any color I put on the top just did not look right, so I kept on re-doing it until I was happy. Go figure- I was happy with black and white combo over the top.
I used Mundo de Unas - Black and White for stamping, and JQ-L20 stamping plate for images. To stamp, I used clear jelly stamper I will review for you tomorrow.
I am newbie when it comes to gel polishes, but what I liked about this one, that its consistency is slightly thicker than ones I have at home. I thought that this will make it harder to apply, but application was no problem whatsoever. As a matter of the fact, it stayed in place, opposite to running down the sides leaving bold spots. As you can tell, there were no bold spots, and that also helped with wrapping it over the tips - again, this thicker consistency allowed it to stay where I placed it, so I was happy with the final results.
