Yep, be a mermaid.
I had really hectic week at work, and by the time I got home, I was drained mentally and physically, and this is what I came up with. This is what I do in lieu of meditation...
As a base, I used Sally Hansen Magnetic - Silver Elements, that I applied over black base.
On the top of it, I triple stamped scales: first with Kleancolor - Metallic Jungle, then with China Glaze - Deviously Daring and then with Hit the Bottle - Purple Reign.
Image itself is from Cooi -028 stamping plate.
I had intention of adding just couple of glitters over, but my jar of blue glitter "exploded" all over, so I just placed some on my nail, because I was not going to pick all of that glitter back in the jar... Glitter was purchased at the local craft store.
I also added few half pearls for a good measure.
This manicure looked way better in a real life, and I was not able to completely capture all the facets of the design. I actually liked all of the added glitter. It added some depth to otherwise boring repeating pattern.
I just could not resist adding some mermaid-ish treasures for the photos. I raided my box and in addition to two identical rings (don't ask), I found some pearls, and souvenir shell necklaces, I found necklace my son made me in a grade school with some wooden beads and sea shells...
I wish you all a glittery, sparkly weekend. I will use mine to get some rest and recuperate for the next week... something to look forward... just kidding.
