Nothing screams Halloween like orange and black. I am here confirming stereotype...
Couple of weeks ago, I came across whole bunch of polishes, that claimed that they glow in the dark. I kind of suspected they not, but figured, I just need one so I would not regret for not picking it up... Good thing that I didn't fall for it, and bought all six colors...
I figured, even if this one is not glow in the dark, I will end up with a cute prop - you know that I am sucker for a cute bottles.
So, this is just your regular orange neon, that I paired with holographic black. Holographic black is Claire's - Bright lights, Big city. It does not last you for long, but that does not matter, because all of those Halloween-ish manicure were not meant to last. I just do them, take the photo, and off they go... can't imagine going in public wearing them (shudder) - some people are into Halloween, but you probably deduced that I am not one of them. There is not a stich of any kind of Halloween décor in my home, and it will not be, as long as I have word in it. Even my boys are not into this spooky stuff.
Everything here was done freehand. Bats were done with black acrylic paint first, then covered with Bright lights, Big City - because holo bats are the only kind of bats for me... Clouds are first done with white polish, then covered with Orange "glow in the dark" - I was hopeful, what to tell you. My bloody harvest moon looks kind of ominous on the photos though. I took photos with little bit less light on off chance this polish would glow, but all you see is glow of neon orange in low light... too bad, I was looking forward to a glow in the dark pic...
In the mean time, I did purchase real glow in the dark polish, and so far, my youngest son was the one that had most fun with it...
Did anyone noticed my coffin ring purchased for photos that have Halloween theme... here is to the crazy ones...
See you next time...
