Thing is, I have a quite collection of untried polishes, and I am slowly but surely working through them, and trying to incorporate ones I did not wear in a while too.
Today's combination seems odd at the first glance, but I quite liked finished look.
Untried polish is Nicole by OPI - Lemon Lolly - bright yellow textured polish. This was in Gum drops collection, so this one is on the sheer side, and textured bits are not sharp like with sands, but more like bumpy, for more saddle textured look. I liked bright color, and thought this would be a nice summer color. I might try to wear it over white or yellow next time, because sheer and textured is not for me. This one also dried pretty slow, so this was another strike against it.
I paired it with Sephora by OPI - S-age is just a number. I really liked contrast between sparkly bright Lemon Lolly and elegant, solid duochrome S-age is just a number.
I have couple of polishes with the similar duochrome combination, and one of these days, I will have to do some comparison post about them.
We knew I will stamp over those, but I was unsure of color. I wanted to stamp with gold over the yellow, and vice versa... Only that yellow did not show over the duochrome polish. I seriously need to get me some decent stamping yellow polish, and I just hope it will not turn into the green stamping polish rerun...
After that, I just went for a sure bet, and stamped with Mundo de Unas - White.
Image is from Cici&Sisi 28 stamping plate, and it tug at my heart strings. I came from part of Croatia where all the bred grains would be grown, so images of wheat always remind me of my home. I stamped the same image on all of the nails, I was just moving it and turning it around for more interesting look.
All in all, I was not hating the results. This was bit out of my comfort zone, but it is always fun to try something new and different - how else you would know what you like if you do not try?
I wish you all a wonderful day.
Cheers!
