Living in the valley, can make some Summers quite smoky, as smoke lingers in the valley, and air quality plummets in downward fashion.
I grew up in a flatlands of Croatia, and really never had much issues with the smoke. I also was not aware how blissfully lucky I was until I moved here more than 25 years ago.
I am talking of Summer already, all while Spring is in a full mode, and while I still have some polishes from Spring collections to show you.
First one is by Dimension Nails - Willet.
This is one of the polishes that Victoria packed as a part of PR, and I have to admit that I really liked it, and is quite possible that I would never pick it myself. I wanted to be surprised, and I wanted something different from my usual choices. Giving the control to someone else was hard and freeing in the same time.
Loved all the shades Victoria picked for me, and I also have the one time use code for the NailStuff.ca - SANJA10 that will save you 10% on your order.
Willet is peachy-nude with iridescent glitters that on my nails look gold, but in the bottle they look either silver or pink. Take 2-3 coats to full opacity.
English is not my first language (as you probably guessed), and I had zero idea what Willet is...
Good old Google search revealed that Willet is a bird - large and robust sandpiper.
Interesting facts? Male Willet invest lots in their offspring, and will be involved in incubation of the eggs, and care of the chicks as female does.
They are very territorial, and are protective of the nesting area.
In 1900, they were popular item on humans table, so between hunting the birds and collecting the eggs, they were almost extinct.
They got protection, and they numbers are not of the big concern at the moment, even though they are slowly declining due to habitat destruction.
Zoology class is now closed, but nail art just opened. Hehehe.
If you assumed that there will be some kind of the bird nail art, you guessed right - I had to match the name of the polish with the nail art, or at least try to do it.
Images on index are from Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS-06 plate, and rest are on Uber Chic - Beach Please.
I tried to create the beach feel of the habitat but I also wanted to include the name of the collection. That was the sentiment behind this , and I am not quite sure if I managed to portray all the things that were in my mind... apparently, you can never think too big. LOL!
