Last box sent to me for review is October one, whose theme was 'Magnificent Beasts'. I have to admit that I expected something totally different than what arrived in the box. I expected some gargoyles and dragons and such, considering that this is an October box, but what arrived is images of super cute animals. They are beasts in their own right, but totally not what I would imagine... This box came packed with goodies that make stamping a breeze: two awesome plates, beautiful stamper and scraper set, non smudge top coat ( heavens knows I needed one so desperately), clean up brush/ magnet, and pretty magnetic polish. |
There is lots of items that I used for review, but some items are really easier than other to create look with.
I started with a magnetic polish. I actually created two different looks using that polish.
This is Wikkid - Hermoine.
Color switch is between chocolate brown in direct light and chartreuse green in low light. On some angles there is little bit of pink flashing from the brown and some aqua from the green.
Super pretty polish, even though there was really similar polish in a May box I purchased but from the different maker. Just saying.
I used one of the stamping plates for the stamping over this polish- MoYou London - Enchanted Collection - 11 plate.
You have to admit that all images here are too cute, not scary in this shape or form, even though I wouldn't like to get in contact with some of them - which would include that crocodile I did on my nails.
From my experience, multichrome and magnetic polishes can be tricky to stamp over, as images tend to be 'swallowed' or overpowered by the base itself.
To overcome that hurdle, I stamped all images with white, then I double stamped using the bright colors from my stamping polish collection. White of the choice was Esmaltes da Kelly - Dolly, but also used Bruce (neon green), Messy Mansion - Forest (dark green) and Moyra - SP. 12 (yellow).
All was topped with Moyra - SP Top coat, and you can tell that there was not a smudge in sight! This amazing top coat was part of the box, and I am so happy to try it out. Now all I need is good, really matte top coat, and I am good to go.
