We passed the half mark and it is already Thursday - yay for that!
Did ever happened to you to start a project with one idea, and end up with something totally different? It happens to me all the time, and in more than one facet of the life. Some projects evolve, and some take the mind of their own, and become something totally different from what was original idea.
Point in case is this manicure... totally not what I imagined, but somehow, I could not stop...
All started with pretty deep red by Color Club Nail Lacquer - Cat Walk. Super creamy and easy to apply, and almost fully opaque in one coat. Such a joy to use the polishes that apply so nicely.
Then I picked up the topper - also by Color Club Nail Lacquer - Si Vous Please! This is such a pretty topper that I have for years, and maybe used once - I just don't remember to use toppers. Thing is, you can get the polishes with the same effect, and no need for them, and for me that also means one step less when I sit to do my nails. This topper is iridescent in the bottle, but over this red it looked gold, with color shift to green and blue and purple... so pretty! I appiled it on first three fingers, and very successfully covered majority of it with stamping...
So far, it all went according to plan...
Then I decided to stamp over, and my first choice was Maniology - Straight-up Black, but I did not really liked that as much as I hoped... then I added Maniology - Bam! White layer, but that was too stark... then I picked the gold - Lina - Stop Lion To Me... Then I decided to add some lilac - Powder Perfect - Lilac. On my index all those colors kind of blended too much, so I added a layer of red - B. Loves Plates - B. a Strawberry.
All images are on Creative Shop 6s stamping plate, and at this point, I picked up the top coat, and quit while I was ahead.
This had some oriental flavor, and considering that I stamped some cherry blossoms, I went outside, and picked a little branch of my currently blooming plum tree to use as a stand in for the cherry blossom.
Honestly, I am on the fence about this look... I do not hate it, but it just did not pull me in...
Hope you will have an amazing day.
Cheers!
